Hello there!

Hello!
I understand what it feels like to reach out for help. From the moment you realize something needs to change, to sorting through what feels like hundreds of therapist profiles, to finally making that first call; it can start to feel more like another overwhelming task than an opportunity for growth.
If you've made it to this page, you've probably already spent a lot of time looking for the right therapist. So instead of listing credentials you've likely already read elsewhere, let me tell you a little about the person you'd be sitting across from.
I'm someone who keeps the shades open and a candle burning whenever I can. If every day could be a Thursday, I'd be thrilled. I procrastinate sometimes, but you'll almost never catch my bed unmade. I'm a proud military spouse, a learning-as-I-go mom of two, and someone who genuinely loves this work.
The line between who I am as a person and who I am as a therapist is pretty thin. At the heart of both is my love for authentic connection. I value relationships where people can be honest, vulnerable, and talk about the things that really matter, not just the weather. So when I ask, "How are you doing?" I truly want the honest, unfiltered answer. "I'm good" rarely tells the whole story, and I believe there's often something important waiting just beneath the surface.
I'm also someone who appreciates the details. A former supervisor once joked that I should have become a therapist-lawyer because of how much I enjoy reading the fine print and making sense of complicated situations. I don't have plans to add law school to my résumé, but I'll admit I take the compliment.
One of the things I'm most proud of is being someone people feel safe coming to with the questions they're embarrassed to ask or the experiences they worry they'll be judged for. Friends, colleagues, and fellow therapists often bring me the things they think are "too stupid" or "too messy" to say out loud, and I genuinely consider that an honor. My goal is for every client to feel the same way: that nothing they bring into the therapy room will be met with judgment.
In therapy, my focus isn't on telling you how to live your life. It's on helping you better understand yourself, identify what matters most to you, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe we thrive when we learn how to balance the demands, joys, challenges, and uncertainties that life inevitably brings. That's where my motto, Create Your Balance, comes from. Life will always include both wonderful moments and difficult ones. My hope is that together we can help you navigate both with greater confidence, flexibility, and self-compassion.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in mindfulness, self-compassion, and evidence-based care. Rather than relying on a single method, I draw from several approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based modalities—to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals.
Over the years, I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. Today, my practice focuses on working with adults (18+) as they navigate anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, and personal growth.
A note about you...
No matter your background, your skin color, your gender, your dog's nickname, or your shoe size, I am here for you.
